    Slow week @ Lifesupporters

I don't know about the rest of you, but I've been so drained this week from work that I've spent little to no time here. It appears as if I'm not alone as we've been pretty much dead all week.

So, why not make a topic of it lol?

Anyway, on weeks like this where things seem a little slow, what do you all feel would liven the place up a bit?

Dragging up or creation of new topics with funny / bizarre questions.

BTW, next week should be a lot better (weekend) since I'll be back in the Netherworld .

In one way I'm happy to hear that but in another I feel for you my good friend.

As for bumping topics, that is a good idea.

More active members. For a forum with so many members, I'm surprised there are so few who are regulars.

Ya unfortunately though that is the case with many forums online. It's not uncommon for most to have an active to inactive member base of less than 5%. In many cases, I've seen sites with less than a 1% active user base.

I just haven't had time this past couple of weks even though I've been wanting to come on. And also very tired. Not much of an excuse but you know how when your life just seems to drain every iota out of you? That's what I've been like this past while. But gonna make more effort!! Glad I wasn't the only one though....

We go through these busy spells and dead spells, just like any site I s'pose. I just wonder if there's more that can be done when we see slow periods to keep things moving.

    I wouldn't be a typical webmaster if I didn't

Where are you promoting the forum?

    Re: Slow week @ Lifesupporters

I don't really do a lot of promoting these days. I'll sometimes Tweet topics now and again that I deem may be helpful or entertaining to others that don't sacrifice the personal privacy of those who responded. I also Tweet news articles and blog articles but that's the extent of promoting these days for the most part.

Most of the work done now is done onsite as proper SEO can bring you more targeted traffic than any means, including advertising.

As for targeted traffic, we do pretty well. Unfortunately, we don't seem to convert the traffic to active membership as much as I'd like but I'm sure this is what you'd hear from most webmasters as well.

I actually do need to figure out where the hot spots are soon. I have a friend coming to visit soon and I want to take her out on the town since this is her first time to Florida but I am not much of a bar hopper.

Well, let's just get going....I'll be trying to catch up on everything I've missed...actually there are quite a few posts to look at even though it's been a slow week as you said. Life, Love, Laundry and Lifesupporters...the BIG L's!!!

ahem....didn't mean to put Laundry ahead of Lifesupporters.

Why aren't we playing games anymore? I sure enjoyed them.

I know this is a place to help people with love, support, compassion; but, speaking for myself, I miss those games.

Could someone enlighten me yet again?
