It worked before with the male / female descriptor. I'll try, but I don't promise encouraging results. Did that, no results.

That sounds like a cookie issue so it may be that you have a setting disabled in your User CP.

I'll look into it and get back to you.

I couldn't find anything wrong with your profile preference so I'm a bit stumped? I didn't use <div> tags for this mod but I did for Communication Style which you can't see; shouldn't matter anyway.

Try hitting Ctrl F5 and see what happens.

BTW, is this a new issue or have you never been able to see Communication Style? I'm thinking I may have screwed up in the code somewhere.

Should give you a good idea of how frustrated some of this coding can be, especially to a n00bie.

    Re: Gender

Well if you wouldn't have taken it so literally, you would have realized that it was hair I was tearing out that was giving me a bald patch not the act of tearing an existing bald patch out.

I just wonder how Meanon's daughter responds when she finds out her mother is a closet-blonde.

    Re: Gender

The issue still persists. It seems there might be something wrong in the code for then both the communication style and gender. I would not worry too much about it. Not many people use Opera.

I believe the issue is either at your end (in Opera) or perhaps a persistent bug in your profile. The reason is that I've just dl'd and installed Opera v 10.51 and all is working as intended.

Do you have any other web browsers installed? The reason I ask is I'd love for you to login and see if the issue persists. If it does then it's likely a profile issue, if not then its definitely a browser issue.

    Re: Gender

    Same issue with IE7.

When I am not logged in I can see gender and communication styles, but if I am logged in, nothing. To be on the safe side, I have completely removed all teh cache and cookies for IE7, but it does not seem to make any difference.

I am only running Opera 9.64, but I can't see that making much of a difference. Either way, the issue is too minor to spend too much time on.

I have no choice, I have to make sure its working because one error here, one error there, and pretty soon I have templates that won't render properly because there full of coding errors.

I'm starting to think this is a profile issue (even though I can't imagine what?). Can you login as your alternate ID and see if you have the same issue?

    Thanks buds.

    Re: Gender

I checked IE7, FireFox3.5.7, Safari4, and Chrome4.1 and all show the gender symbol. I don't like Opera so removed it. Hope this helps.

    Re: Gender

I've checked them all (the exception being Safari) as well and they all seem to be working. I'm inclined to believe this is either a browser caching issue or perhaps an issue with Vautrin's user preferences.

    Re: Gender

I'll try using a different computer - the chances that it would be a cache issue (despite me flushing it) can be reduced to zero, if another machine gives me the same result.

You don't need to try a different computer, just a different browser.
