    Father's Day Flareups

    CANOE - Lifewise Eat: Father's Day flare-ups

We're deep into the grilling season — and say what you will, but it continues to be a guy's domain.
And really — what's Father's Day without a good barbecue? Guys and grills go hand in hand like steak and fire.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

True love is wanting to give to another person without any thought about
who’s getting the better of the deal.

Love always creates, it never destroys. In this lie's man's only promise

This defines me much of the time when it comes to barbecuing:

THE LAST MINUTE MAN: Never gets his act together before everyone is starving, barbecues on a whim and starts late so lunch is at 4 pm, but he pulls it off to great admiration with perfectly seared steaks, grilled sweet corn and shrimp kebabs.

That's funny, Duke; but that's what makes you the Special Man that you are!

It doesn't help that the food smells so good when cooking. All the aromas easily pass through the bottom of my kettle bbq and waft into my apartment only serving to make both mine and Dwoings stomachs growl more.
