I saw God in my dream

As many of you know, I'm not a Religious person however as of late I've had a lot of questions on the topic. I think what's spawned my curiosity is the passing of my best friend a few years back as well as thoughts on my own mortality and my conviction that evil is never that far away.

I'm not going to go into detail on this dream here however suffice to say, God came to my side in a dream the other night which has helped turn my Religious beliefs on there head.

I'm not saying this is a bad thing either...

I can say that this was a battle between light and dark and the message I took away from the dream was keep fighting the dark and maybe you'll see the light.

Have any of you ever seen God in a dream and if so, what was His message and what did you take away from your dream?

Duke, I'm interested in learning more about your dream....

I've had dreams where I woke up inspired or touched in some way knowing it was special, but I can't think of anything specific at this point.

    You want just one thought?

My belief is that you are very fortunate that God came to you in a dream which means, to me, that you have been chosen to do some very special work for Him.

It would be a good idea to attend some Church services, exploring different ones. Oh, that's two thoughts....

On a serious note, it IS a very uplifting article to me!!

Ya it was certainly a wild experience. Funny thing is that not only have I not dreamt of God since, the evil dreams have also seemed to stop.

lol hopefully not just an intermission.

It would really be something however if it signaled the end of these bizarrely evil dreams I've been having.

Re: I saw God in my dream

Actually no, the dreams have completely subsided. I still have wacky dreams all the time but none of these evil dreams have returned which seems a bit bizarre actually.

I've spoken to a few people at length on the topic and the consensus is that it may be tied into all the questions I've had surrounding Religion the past few years or so. I believe as do a few of those around me, that maybe telling this to a Minister, Priest, etc., may not be a bad idea and may help me find some answers or perhaps just find peace with my ongoing questions about Religion.

Either way I'm still unsure exactly of where this road is taking me but something's up, that's for sure and I have to admit that it's a pretty interesting journey thus far.

Re: I saw God in my dream

Very interesting! So it being a couple years later now, have any of these dreams happened since?

I do believe we can reach depths in dreams, we can see an experience things we otherwise would'nt in a conscious state. Dreams sometimes can be like another world, like another realm at times. Dreams can really be magical and sometimes very scary!

Re: I saw God in my dream

Our Dreams are like tiny little mirrors that reflect from the subconscious. Every dream is made up of fine fabrics of memorys. Everything you experience is finely sculptured by enumerable memories and feelings. And yet somehow they seem to make sense. Often , one thought reigns over the others. Myself I have never had a dream about God. I have awoken at times and in the twilight of awakening I felt very much aware.
I have had religious dreams though. Nothing obtuse. Just the feeling that God created nature to nurture us. I guess I felt the love. Since I was about 4 years old I decided God had no natural form to speak of , only that he was out there some where. Hence no dream of any caricature of a human form.
