The Canucks are in the playoffs! I hope they do well!

ok - I'm being brave and venturing onto a sports thread. The last hockey I had any involvement in was at School where I found myself taking a hard ball to head and having to be stretchered off the playing field LOLOL.

I guess you mean Ice Hockey - do I take this is your favourite team?

    OH NOOOOO!

Hey, Rosie, I'm happy to see you here! I'm going to try my best to see how exciting the NHL is so that maybe we can talk about the upcoming playoffs!

Maybe, first of all, I should ask if you do get the NHL games where you live? Or can view them via Internet?

Well, sort of...they did pretty dismally last year, have never won a Stanley Cup. When they lost the last game in 2010, there was a terrible riot in Vancouver.

It's like NFL for me, I'm kind of quirky by picking a team for the cup each year as the playoffs progress. I would like to see the Canucks eventually win the Cup!

Does your husband watch Sports? If so, which ones? My men in my family got me interested as I've posted somewhere previously, and now I've turned into a bigger Sports fan than all three put together!

It's ok - knocked some sense into me... I think LOL

I do sometimes get involved with the spirit of sports when there are major competitions but I do not actively follow any kind of sport. We have lots of sports channels and I am sure somewhere they must have the NHL - will take a look but I do fear they are "pay to view" channels .

Nothing wrong with being supportive of a good team. I hope they do better for all their followers

I consider myself lucky as none of my lot watch sports so they never argue over watching matches/games that conflict with other things LOL. The young adults are of the 'internet/gaming' generation and even though they play sport games etc they would never think of actually watching the sport - strange that

The Canucks/Flames series: Flames - two games; Canucks - one.

Montreal/Ottawa: Montreal - three games; Ottawa - none.

I would like to see the Canucks do well but hold out more hope for Montreal; it's been awhile since they had a really good run.

    Re: Hockey

The playoffs are over for the Canucks That being said, it was an incredible game between Montreal and Ottawa; Carey Price was brilliant in Goal, such a humble man who, in the interview, gave more credit to the team than anything he accomplished. Score 1 - 0. Exciting game! My husband said he was sure they heard me all the way across the country.

Two more playoff games tonight, one in half an hour; must go and get ready for cheering and excitement.

Both teams I am hoping for lost yesterday. Oh well, hope is still alive.

Montreal and Tampa Bay are starting the game in a few moments so I'm hoping that Montreal doesn't lose as they could be out. It should be an awesome game....hopefully!

Sure did! Montreal survived to play the next game. Now hoping Calgary does the same tonight.

    Did you watch it, Vautrin?

SO sad that they are out now, too!

Only Montreal left now from what started as five Canadian teams this year.

Carey Price is originally from our Province so I'm counting heavily on him!

No I could not watch it. Have to keep a modicum of a sane day/night schedule.

I thank you for the wonderful memories of us watching the Super Bowl 'together', Vautrin.

Not good News coming out of Deflategate. I'm off-topic here as this should go under 'football'.

All Canadian teams are all out. I will have to pick a U.S. team once they are all ready for the next round.
