The Road to the Stanley Cup

starts tonight! Trying to stay calm and not get over-excited. A 'wait-and-see' attitude about the Vancouver Canucks.

If you're watching, which team you are rooting for?

Enjoyed the game even though Vancouver lost 3 - 2. LA is a good team!

I'm hoping Vancouver can pull off another win tonight. ....If not, it will be all over.

Yes, they have. Vancouver is very near elimination. They are on home ice tonight and MUST win or else it's a done deal for this year.

Luba, time to switch allegiance ... Canucks could not make it this time around.

I watched the Ottawa/New York game and held hopes for Ottawa to win. Though it was a very exciting game, I thought, Ottawa is out, too. Not sure if I'll be rooting for Philadelphia or LA now, or just enjoy as many games as I can right through...

Actually I am, Vautrin! I'm not as gung ho about the outcome as I was last year (lots of Vancouverites said the same), so it is easier to just enjoy the game that way.

    GO LIGHTNING!

I am completely floored by the Kings. They are the #8 seed in the West and beat #1 Vancouver 4-1 in the first round, took down #2 St. Louis 4-0 in the second round and currently up on #3 Phoenix 3-0 in the third round. Never seen anything like it. They're currently 11-1 on the playoffs.

Jonathan Quick is a complete stud and an absolute beast between the pipes. And this kid is very young. I expect many years of great things from this guy.

LA has one of the best defenses in the league, but their offense is one of the worst, though they're coming alive in the playoffs. We could actually see a LA/New York finals, which would be extraordinary.

Does it get much better than NHL playoffs?

Once Vancouver was out, then I was cheering for Ottawa, being a Canadian.

I like LA and Jonathon Quick, too. I would like to see them win, or someone else that hasn't had the Stanley Cup yet. I am mostly for LA, though!

Great game between LA and Phoenix but, alas, Phoenix lost. LA is in the finals and now we must wait to see who wins between New York and New Jersey; game is tonight.

New York isn't out of it yet, could win the next game! THEN we'll have a harassing time!

    GO KINGS!

I think LA will take this. They have the better defense and goalie and their weak offense has been hot in the playoffs. Hell, they're freakin 12-2 in the playoffs!

Regardless, the winner will be the lowest seeded team to ever win the Cup.
