Do You Include Silence in Your Day?
Always having been one to enjoy the early mornings, I have to admit that my mouth runs off with what I think are great ideas as soon as my husband is in his chair having a coffee. I also have to admit it took me a l-o-n-g time to realize the dear man wanted to enjoy his morning silence with a QUIET cup of coffee and his own thoughts as he's a night person.
So...after I FINALLY got the message and took myself out of the room just so I wouldn't talk, I realized how wonderful the silence was! I now can't have a morning without it and it's become very precious to me.
Share your thoughts about silence and how it's impacted your own life.Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

I love quiet mornings. I am not a morning person, and I need some time to get my brain in gear.

No, my mom is the same. She needs at least an hour to be "operational".

Re: Do You Include Silence in Your Day?
I live alone, so I can not talk the whole day - I do try to stay in touch with my friends, of course. Not talking is, therefore, not an issue.
However, generally speaking, I like to chat in the morning, I'm usually in a good mood.
If you mean silence - like utter silence, no radio, no music, no sounds, I sometimes do it - I still need to listen to the sound of rain falling to relax (youtube). I think having some noise around makes me feel less alone.the universe is made out of stories, not atoms

It's important to include silence in your daily life, it allows you to get intouch with yourself - a place some people visit well to rarely.
