Question If you could live anywhere in the world...

    Where would it be?

I would move to England in a heartbeat. The accents, the countryside, the history, the castles, and the proximity to other countries is what would prompt me to live there. It's my dream to some day live there for a few years, at the very least. It's part of my 10 year plan.

Are you happy where you live now? If so, why?

It's funny and great how thinking changes through the years. Before I would have said Northern B.C. Canada, then England in a heartbeat, NOW I say "wherever my husband is, that is where my heart lies!" Of course, I would LOVE to have my children/grandchildren near me, too, but since I can't have everything, I'm happy where I am!

I think that's awesome, to be content where you are. I must have been born with a dominate nomad gene. I'm always wanting to be somewhere else.

My heart is drawn to many places! I have mostly lived by the ocean though and i find when i go inland i feel home sick, yet i love the mountains very so. The country side is beautiful too, everywhere is in it's own right. But i have always wanted to go to England, Ireland, Belgium, The netherland's, Amsterdam, Canada, Hawaii, maybe Puerto Rico or some other places like it.

I reckon that's kind of how I am. When I lived in Alabama the longer I was there the more I hated it. I wanted to move back to West Virginia. Now that I'm back in West Virginia I just want to leave and hate it a little more every day.

Maybe it is simply because the world is becoming increasingly dysfunctional??

I live in the sticks in Southern West Virginia! Come on!

It very well could be that. I find myself hating humanity at large the older I get. I'll be the old lady everyone thinks is a witch when I'm 80 because I'll probably shut myself up in an old house on a big hill and give folks the evil eye out my front room window.

I always wanted to live in England. I love the architecture of the buildings and homes there, the Politics and the rain.

    *sigh* Someday I'll get there.

Maybe we'll be neighbors! I don't know about you, but I want to live more into the countryside of England. I'm sure London is grand, but it's more of a place to visit than live in my eyes. This could be because I'm a country girl from the sticks as it is.

I think England is a fine place. You will learn a lot there. The great place to live in is where you find comfort and peace. As for me, as long as I'm with my family it is always the best place to go home.

    Great post, RockMon!

I would like to visit England, too.

I've always wanted to live in the States. Holidayed there a few times & lived there for a short while a few years back. Love the place! Either that or somewhere away from the constant rain here

    Why the Netherlands ?

I would love to live in a location that is remote, surrounded by forest and maybe a lake - as there are many countries that can offer this I would be hard pressed to choose one

I would like to live in a log cabin by a lake surrounded by trees, such a peaceful setting!
