    Yes, what a beautiful song!
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

I have NO idea how "I Promised You a Rose Garden" connects with Marty Robbins "El Paso" song but it has. I was looking up some old songs on you tube before this wonderful thread was started and realized I still remembered most of the song. I need to find it again on you tube.

Rosie, such Great choices. I need to take the time to start listening to those beautiful songs.

Here is one I chanced on the other day and Elton's voice and the depth he took this song to deeply touched me. Great video, too. Listening to it right now I felt the exact same way as I did the other day. I have never heard anyone else sing this song and I venture to say that no one could take it to the same depths that Mr. John did. I could be wrong...

I love that song but then I really like Elton John's music. I could put all the most popular ones on here but they are so familiar, so I thought I'd put this one :

LOVE Shania Twain, Rosie, her CD is the first CD we listen to when we take our almost yearly long camping trip!

On another note, the BeeGees "One Night Only" was back on PBS last week. I missed part of the show but remembered this song that I love as well as loving the BeeGees right from the first time I heard them sing.

Ummm, most of the songs I listen to were made before I was born. So I am not sure what I am to post?

If you listen to music and it is from the past then post anything.
I love classical, opera, R&B, Country and MGM Musicals, a lot of which was done before I made my spectacular appearance too

Here is a wonderful lady whom I wish I could have heard live with an aria that always brings me to tears.

OOh my word. I had forgotten about the Travelling Wilburys, especially when you remember the band members.

Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan & George Harrison

    Thanks for that reminder.

I know its a cover but loved this one :
