The Good, The Bad, The Ugly - Biographies & Autobiographies

I have been busy reading several biographies & autobiographies lately, Julie Andrews, Agatha Christie, Peter Utinov, Jon Pertwee - Moon Boots and Dinner Suits to name a few.

Some of them have proved surprising, interesting and one downright shocking.

It has helped me to broaden my view and I wonder which biographies have influenced others.

I have now started on Sophia: Princess, Suffragette, Revolutionary, and will report on what I feel at the end of it.

Funnily enough I had never heard of Sophia (and I am really not that bad remembering stuff that I had read) - just goes to show that a lot of women's history is hidden.

Hope it will be an interesting and entertaining read Rosie!

I had never heard of her either but read an article on women's history back in the Summer and made a mental note to read it. I'm lacking time to get into it past the first few pages at the moment but so want to get through it.

I do also have a list of interesting books recommended by someone, now who was that.......ooh yes.... you Vautrin

I suppose, with the holidays coming up, you may be able to restart and read properly in the new year.

I hope so, I am missing my downtime with a good book.
