I just want to do nothing else but stay on Lifesupporters

today! I had all these plans of cleaning up my two back rooms (and do they ever need it)!

Instead, I've already been here at least two hours reading and commenting on new and older stuff!

Please someone tell me it's okay so I don't feel so guilty :?

As long as no one is dying, and your plants don't feel more neglected than they usually do, it is okay to spend quite a bit of time on here. Especially if you don't have to prepare for exams, or anything of importance ... feel free to post.

Besides if you do it tomorrow, by Monday the rooms will have accumulated one day less of dirt. ;-)

Vautrin, has anyone ever told you that you are a real "honey"...and very wise and helpful and understanding...and a ton of other positive adjectives that I can't think of at the moment...?

Yes. A few members of the forums I post on, a few people I met in real life, and most of all my girlfriend. Although it is the first time I get the honor of being called a "honey."

    Thanks Luba.

I like you Vautrin but it will be a cold day in hell when I refer to you as honey.

I did that for the whole summer. I barely got SPIT done! Once I log on..it's hard to leave So, if I REALLY need to get something done...I've learned to do it before cranking up the puter.

when I'm not online...I miss my 'honey' boys.....

I thought this was a cute and funny thread and decided to bump it up. I feel like this some days. I want to come here and just stay put. So then I won't miss all you "Honeys" out there.

For a minute I feared Luba was ready for a 24 hour spamathon after missing out on the chat of Friday.

Posting can be very entertaining, especially if you can let other things be other things.

She may have started this thread but I bumped it!! I don't have a problem some days to just let the other stuff go for a while.

    Yep. ^

Just saying, but at a teen forum I moderate at, we allow members the sport of troll baiting. I mean -members giving a troll a really hard time and taking delicious pleasure in it before we deal the ban hammer. Somehow, trolls seem to steer clear of us, don't come by very often haha.

We've done that in the past at other sites I've worked but we just can't allow it here. We just have too much in the way of sensitive content to allow for flame baiting.

As it is some of our content can be taken the wrong way even if we poke fun at one another. It's a delicate balancing act which can be decidedly difficult to get right at times.

I supposed it can be fun when you have amateur trolls to contend with. Then it will not be much more than some harmless fun. It becomes a different matter when you have professional trolls to deal with, especially when they have tried their best to earn the trust of the community. Because then the joke is on the Forum staff, as they have to spend hours sorting everything out.

I have just realised you have professional trolls here, rather than amateur (teen) trolls what we have. A vast difference, though excuse me for not realising sooner.

That is okay Floxy. No need to apologize or anything.

I just like to take the opportunity to warn you that they may appear on your teen forum as well (first pretending to be a teen, and then suddenly, after several months turning a switch). Not saying that it will happen, but if such a thing happens, it is really not a fun job being a moderator or admin, and it will do massive amounts of damage to the forums, since all the trust that there was has completely vanished. Trust sometimes comes too easy online; perhaps because people think that electronic interaction always remains far removed from them, when that is not necessarily the case.

Oh boy was that ever a few hard lessons learned.

I had actually forgotten all about this until now

Admittedly we have had some pornsters, but they get banned immediately and there links, and spammers of the more serious types leave links what fortunately, most of the savvy members never click on.

Howevver, the insiduous trolls are ones what come in on a Proxy. If I am not on duty, the other staff tend to watch them like hawks. Whereas I always ban Proxy applicants because they could be (I argue this in the staff forum, but to no avail) previously banned users. I'm afraid when Proxies are used, it is very difficult to track their IP address, unless using exotic software. And knowing how to impyment such software is a task I am unable to perform.

Of what I read down the threads on this forum, your staff have been very thorough in rooting out troublemakers. Well good. Lifesupporters being a family-safe forum is the best guarded yet.

I think the title of this thread just may suit me somewhat today. I did a ton of work yesterday so today I just may 'goof off' and start getting as enthusiastic and excited as is possible for me for Super Bowl!

In my mind I am still on vacation so this is a good place to be right now. I am definitely not getting any work done.

Sometimes it's just nice to stay on vacation in the mind and not letting go of the good time. Sometimes we let ourselves get right back to the 'grind' too soon, IMHO. Just keep enjoying yourself, TK; you deserve to.
