Another week has flown by and the weather is now taking a wintry turn, had to de-ice the car before leaving for home. I hope that all of you have a great weekend and if it's cold where you are, wrap up warm and if its warm, don't get too hot :-)

It has been cold today. Just 22 degrees. Celsius.

Natte sneeuw (sorry to be pedantic about the spelling - Dutch can be pretty horrible with all the vowels).

Sure beats frozen rain (ijzel) though. Wet snow simply melts. Frozen rain causes a ton of accidents.

Ok..... Natte sneeuw LOL. It's turned to 14 deg in the past 2 days, making it hard to decide what to wear each day...... I've taken to having layers and extra stuff in the car... like a suitcase LOL

Same problem here - lots of intermittent showers. So if you don't want to carry an umbrella, you have to dress a bit warmly. And then, when you do, the showers don't hit until you're home.

So, you either sweat like a pig in bright sunshine, or you freeze to death in the rain. Neither option too appealing. I failed for the first one twice this week.

So here we are 12 days until Christmas, finding it hard to find time for posting with so much going on and the lack of Festive spirit. I love when the weather turns all frosty but even that is missing as we've got drizzly grey days.

I finally got the tree done so at least now "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" .

We had a good festive season this year - lots of good things happening (which is nice, considering how dreadful the year was otherwise), and we can't wait for 2017.

Hope everyone has had a good Christmas, and will have a good 2017. I hope Luba can stick to her New Year's resolution just to eat 1 salted peanut a day

Ya it's been very quiet around here and I take full responsibility for it.

I've just not had the time or inclination to do much given the time constraints Band of Others has imposed on me. Currently I either work that site, live-stream or create some measure of video content for YouTube for it.

It's a full time job unfortunately but a very fun and rewarding one.

Movie-Talk has also eaten a lot of time as it's continually undergoing hack attempts. Securing and re-building MT is likely to take me the better part of a year given my time constraints which does not bode well for Lifesupporters.

Having said that, I'm trying to find time to revise Lifesupporters Blog with the content lost when we were hacked. Once done I intend to post an article or possibly 2 monthly as a start to see if we can capture some of the audience lost over the past few years.

    Time will tell.

Life is taking more time than it should? Do you mean to suggest you spend part of the time in a suspended state or something?

I'm thinking of checking in a touch more myself! Life has become even busier in Retirement than it was when I was working! SO many things to do and enjoy, especially if there is a lot of laughter around.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

Actually, it gets quite hot early in the day so lawn needs mowing around 9:30, neighbours are nice, they don't complain.
Thinking of you, Vautrin, and how we've shared SO many laughs since we joined Lifesupporters and became such good friends!

I've been going out, socially, quite a bit since my birthday which I celebrate as long as I can, and..I'm going out today again, and maybe even a couple of times next week! Very, very Grateful to and for my loved ones!

I don't think Mrs. Neighbour will complain if you hire this guy:

If that guy was hired in the neighbourhood, Vautrin, I think all the females would be taking a peek through the window. Maybe someone would even be bold enough to take over some water for him to take some slow sips!
