    Had another thought

New Forums for School and Work T

Some Teens and Adults have to balance the 2

Work- can include unemployment issues- interviews- promotions/demotions- boss and coworker probs

Kids move from Elementary- to Middle - to High School- sometimes changing buildings- they may need support Or just a place to complain about homework and teachers

    Just an idea

The spell check module is available but not implemented at this time. I'll see about getting it working but it will likely be sometime early in the New Year. I have yet to see it working properly on another forum so I'll need to beta test it on a separate forum.

I'm looking at amalgamating a lot of what you currently see in the forums so look for some major changes not only in aesthetics but in content. I'll see if I can incorporate the school/work aspects into the new change.

    Stay tuned.

BTW, thanks for the great suggestions!

It is a great idea, don't be discouraged if I can't implement it tonite tho. I'm trying to figure out how to clean up the forums prior to adding new categories. I'm hoping to have this all put to bed by sometime next week if possible.

I'll ask our PC guy then I'll have him burn some copies and mail them to you so you have a few to choose from. I'm the Quickbooks queen, but I don't think you need anything that complex... OWP One Write Plus is a good easy program but I don't think it's internet compatable, god knows I don't know much about computers but I am verry good with Accounting Software, I can also get you PeachTree if you need it.

Duke, can you fix it so that there is an automatic log out if you are inactive for a certain period? My computer sometimes crashes as I log out.

Why are you logging out, it really isn't necessary. Just close your explorer window and the site will show you offline in about 5 minutes I believe.

If I don't log out then when I come back to the site hours later, I'm logged in. I always close the explorer window.

    That doesn't make any sense.

Are you saying that if you close your explorer window without logging out that your still logged in?

You may have to log out and clear your cookies each time Meanon...in order to assure that there isn't direct access from your puter.

How can you possibly know if your still logged in when your gone is what I'm trying to understand. Simply put, you do not have to log out to be logged out, you just have to close Internet Explorer. When you re-open explorer you are automatically logged in because the site saves a file in your cookies folder. Believe me when I tell you, you are not logged in the whole time you are away from the site.

Your name remains in the forum "Who is Online" block for a period of 5 minutes and in the user control panel on the right hand side of the main page for about 15 - 20 minutes.

I think what Meanon is trying to say is that if anyone else were to access her puter...she does not want them to find themselves automatically logged into this site in her name. Read between the lines.

I can't read between the lines. I need it spelled out in simple black and white or I'll sit here scratching my head wondering what the hell everyone is talking about.

LOL! Not for the first time, if I recall correctly

I'm so sorry Duke, I should have PMed you. I am IT illiterate! It is the automatic login that got me confused.

    Thanks, Merika
