It isn't because she is a woman in my opinion. It is her attitude and ideas. I don't have an issue electing a woman but she is the last woman I want in a position of power. When her husband was president she had enough. I think she ran the presidency from the sidelines.

the easiest way for a woman to win the white house is to be a republican, then they steal the feminist vote from democrats and still get a lot of the conservative vote

I am republican but that doesn't mean I will vote for a woman. They are all still politicians and they have to prove to me they are worthy of the office.

Ann Coulter? She is even worse than Michael Moore in a position of power.
I'd rather vote McCain. Walk to your average county jail, and it is not hard to find a better candidate than Ms. Coulter.

If it is not obviously goofy, I always respond seriously.

Some of what Ann has to say is pretty funny and some of it I agree with. =O Although any extremist out there, like Ann Coulter and Michael Moore, I have to laugh either way. It's simply funny to me to take one side and skew it so off-center.

I haven't read Larry Elder yet. I seem to read 'hate speech' differently than others. What's horrible to some, I might find hilarious. So... thanks for more stuff for me to read.

You knew me well enough that I would respond like that.

that article was basically his response to a letter from an african american saying that because elder is an african american and a republican he is a disgrace to their race.

So elder basically pointed out that democrats started the KKK, tried to block the amendment to allow them to vote and some other things that basically smack the other guy around

The problem with historical arguments, is that they are not necessarily applicable right now.

Back in the day, the Democrats were more pro-business than the Republicans. Don't think that anyone would dispute the opposite in 2008.

Racialising politics is always a bad thing to do.

I totally agree; that shouldn't even come up at all in this day and age.

So you're the guy I use to sit behind in class to help me 'get by.' That's not so far fetched, really. It's important to see History and not repeat it, but racially charged reasonings behind History is a fallacy. All races used one political party or another to push their agendas at one time or another.

Wasn't Abraham Lincoln in the Republican party and yet freed the slaves? Some Historians argue Lincoln did this mistakenly, but that's not what we're taught in elementary school. o.O

Alicia Keys and Obama's ex-Reverend Wright think that the Government created AIDS to wipe out the Black race. (aka: Whitey)

Although, I don't think they did this on purpose, it's not hard to make that deduction, given the fact that the Polio Vaccination that was first given in Africa was contaminated with the virus.

There are arguments right now in the Medical World that HIV was man-made. I haven't kept up with the recent findings on where HIV was really originated at. Smallpox Vaccination, I think.

Yeah yeah, I probably wouldn't have known that much if I weren't watching MTV.

Basically, I can understand why he thinks the way he does.

The US Civil War is a fascinating read. But to charge Abraham Lincoln with a big desire for abolishing slavery is a bridge too far, IMO.

History is so booorrring to me. If you don't throw a Mistress or a President dressing up as woman in there, I will fall asleep!

Which pretty much explains why my High School History teacher and I became really good friends. *ahem*

Ah well... Shows just how much something can be misconstrued into a strong belief that is very hard to break.

This post is up and running for "The Luba Laughter Award" for today so far! Who else is going to try...or IvyRose, you can try to top the one you posted.

Of course, we'll probably have to go to the "Lightheartedness Central" Station in order to keep the threads under their original issues.
