Didn't have any drinks (with liquor) at all! I had a wonderful day just being home with my husband, rented a few movies.

Wasn't it Canada Day just about a month ago?

Do they celebrate Being Canadian Every month by signing up on a list to see a doctor or crossing over the border to have appendectomies?

It took me quite a few moments to laugh that out in order to pull myself together to respond....no...wait....another spasm of laughter!

Okay, I'm ready to respond. It was Victoria Day a month ago...but I like your idea of having a celebration with a day off EVERY month, Scott!

    Happy Canada Day!

Since I have a Canadian coworker today, she decided to organize some sort of quiz on Canada trivia. Unsurprisingly, I managed to win.

Thanks, Vautrin; from a happy Canadian!

I'm not surprised that you won!

Thanks, LovingSpirit; Good day here even though it's cloudy and very cool; not our typical summer.

That's why I'm enjoying it so much. It's much cooler than last year and the grass is still green everywhere. In the Lower Mainland our smog is much better than it has been the past few years and I've yet to hear of any air quality warnings for the elderly.

I hope it stays like this all summer long.

Oh and btw, Happy Canada Day my fellow Canuckleheads

So, what do people do (other than staring at handsome scantily clad male land-mowers) on Canada Day?

Celebrations right across the country.....and I mowed our lawn yesterday;....and I wasn't scantily clad, as neighbours would then close their curtains...

Ask for a second opinion from your husband. He'll say you looked like that. If not, well, enjoy the free fireworks.

He's bound to say something witty and I'm not sure I can handle that as he and I both know I never looked like that lady!
