Re: What Women Look For In a Mate
Women are not more complicated than men. I guess that because we have the experience of being a "man" or a "woman", that we mistakenly assume that the others of the same gender are similar to us. And then by comparison all the different women / men seem to be complex, because we do notice the differences between them. And sometimes learn the hard way.

Men and women just need to communicate more, especially if they are in a relationship.

That is so true. Without communication it simply cannot work.
It is 3.40 AM here, I need to go to bed. Thanks for the company and making me think about things, TKD.

My my...look who's been busy.
Looks like I need to check in here more often...sheesh.
Yes you should and yet you don't.
I see nothing wrong with that list. Simple and expectations are clear.
Laundry and cooking...more clear expectations....
I LOL'ed while having dinner out with my daughter.
It's all good. But you know what they say about payback.
All chicks are the same. I proved that yesterday when my daughter and I went to the grocery store together.I'm so much cooler online...

I did. Her name was Danielle and she brought me all the beers I wanted with a big smile.
And she never interrupted while the game was on. Darn near prefect...now if I could only get that sort of service at home. <sigh>

Re: What Women Look For In a Mate
Okay.. so here it goes.. don't be mad men..
I want someone who is kind, intelligent, sense of humor a must, takes care of himself physically, however health issues are no big deal to me, good teeth really help, and honest. Laughing is so sexy that I just can't be with anyone whom does not have a sense of humor.

Re: What Women Look For In a Mate
I don't know what I am looking for... I have never been married, and haven't been in a relationship in 20 years. I guess I am old fashioned and believe in open communication and real friendship first. I would love to get married.... But to be blunt and honest.
Todays women scare the hell out of me !!
About 5 months ago I answered a ad a women in my area had in the classified's, just for some companionship... And I told her I was looking for a lady to wine and dine.
She turned out to be a retired Marine, and a expert in hand to hand combat and small arms !! She's been married and divorced 5 times, and looking for number 6. She told me she has killed men with her bare hands, and expected me to take her bar hopping and to the Casino on the weekends. I am a recovered alcoholic !!
I RAN, AND DIDN'T LOOK BACK !!
Can we add WORST 1st DATES stories to this thread ?

Re: What Women Look For In a Mate
That's a great idea for a thread!!!
I don't know what I want in a mate either. Maybe that's why I'm now divorced twice. LOL I know I'm attracted to men who can make me laugh. Men who can do things with their (preferably large) hands. Men who are gentlemen and open doors and argue when I pick up the tab. A man whom I feel safe with, that I know if someone kicked the door in at 3 am they're going to protect me and not hide in the closet. Men who is politically aware and not afraid to voice his opinion, even if his is the only one. A man who works hard and plays hard. A man who, when he finds someone he loves, loves that person with every fiber of his being.
And, if he could look like Alexander Skarsgard that would be great too.STOP MOUNTAIN TOP REMOVAL

Yikes. The only thing that was missing on that disaster date was the preacher who would also double as a sheriff.

Re: What Women Look For In a Mate
That is a great quote!
Women definitely are more assertive now then they have been in the past, in my opinion. Some men are perfectly fine to sit back and let the woman take the dominate role. Some are terrified by it. Some men have just as dominate a personality. I guess it's getting harder to find that balance.STOP MOUNTAIN TOP REMOVAL
