    Music downloading

Maybe I'm off my rocker here, but hasen't Kazaa Lite gone to the dogs lately? I've downloaded about a half a dozen songs that cut out intermittently or have a beep in them. Prolly the music industry putting these files in there so nobody can get them free anymore.

Also, Bit Torrent, what's up with that? Has it become a pay program?

What are you guys using for dl'ing t00nz and can you provide me with a link?

Kazaa Lite was being developed by a group who wanted to remove the spyware, adware and extra garbage that came with Kazaa, they used the name Kazaa but it wasn't an official product. In December they got shut down and there are no new releases of the program being offered. As for what is transferring over it's network, I've always found Kazaa to be quite unreliable but pretty much the only alternative worth using.

BitTorrent is not a pay program, you just need to know the good sites in order to get what you're looking for. Most of the good ones have become private in order to reduce leachers and limit legal backlash. Personally I still use suprnova.org and torrent-addiction.com (aka digital-update).

If I need a song that bad, I'll look for it on Kazaa, but usually I just look for albums I like on www.suprnova.org or torrent-addiction (member site)

I've been to suprnova before but couldn't find the dl's last time. I kept getting this registration page, unless I'm confusing it with Bittorrent.

It is a BitTorrent site, just make sure it's .org and not .com because they are competing sites with .com copying the .org look. No registration required.

Grab napmx as well, its goes and finds opennap network servers which winmx won't do by default.

I'll give them all a try and review them here. How are they all for security, file integrity, quality, etc.?

I've downloaded a few movies from Asrueus and can't figure out how to open them. For Doom 3 I used Alcohol 12% but it doesn't seem to be working for the movies. I must be retarded

IFO, BUP files and VOB. I think the VOB's are the movie files, not sure what the BUP's or IFO's are though

VOBs are the video file, the IFOs are the associated info files (scene and timing info) the BUP files are backups of the IFO files.

it looks like they are disk images, like the CUE and BIN files for CDs.

ISOBuster and Daemon Tools are essential for any download entusiast, like myself. Check the help info on the DT website, it'll help you a lot.
