Picture of the Perfect Man - Part II

    NO IMAGE AVAILABLE!

C'mon, did you really think there was one?

Received this in an e-mail this morning! Started me laughing first thing!
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

Such an anticlimax after so much anticipation. Should have known it was too good to be true!!!

I fell for it, too; hook, line and sinker! It was actually a shock to learn the punchline!

It is funny how the men abstained from comment on this one.

It's really funny to me that no men debated this, they just accepted it as the truth!

Well, the thing is if we were actually to discuss it ... we would get flamed. There are a lot of questions women can ask of men, where the straight and honest answer would result in immediate decapitation.

Oh wait ... should not have said that.

As an aside, men would debate the notion of a "perfect woman" endlessly. And never arrive at a final conclusion. Perhaps a bit similar to women who sometimes seemingly can't decide on a thing.

I was pretty sure I had posted something about "The Perfect Woman" on Lifers some time ago but can't find it.

Maybe the men got jealous and deleted it.

I'm kidding; I'm just being mean.

But it IS funny to me that the debate wasn't taken up at all...Vautrin you are the only man that responded.

I think the others are smart enough to know that every response is like a hole dug for oneself to fall in.

That means, I am the stupid one.

I disagree after the laugh I had, Vautrin! You seem to be the ONLY brave man to acknowledge this thread.

    Bravery?

At the bottom of not a little of the bravery that appears in the world, there lurks a miserable cowardice. Men will face powder and steel because they have not the courage to face public opinion. - Edwin Hubbel Chapin

Replace public opinion with "the women in their lives", and you know why.

Re: Picture of the Perfect Man - Part II

I face everyone without fail. How I feel and what is right for me shows and I let it show. This is not saying that I will not compromise, because I most certainly do.

At the end of the day only one person has the ability to make me feel small, like less of a person; that person is me. Opinions mean nothing because I am comfortable with the person that I am. I know I am not perfect and it often shows in the worse way. I love intensely and with all that I am capable; this is what I give to those that have found their way into my heart.

I have been called conceited by others that do not seem to understand what confidence is. I do not go out of my way to correct anyone that I think is wrong, the opposite is true. When I do speak, I say what I do and do not know. Couple this with being happy with who I am, people read me the wrong way all the time. I don't mind because most people are not important in my pursuit of happiness.
